Based on reports from Ottawa and Edmonton, it looks like Big Water has the upper hand, with support from US Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, obviously working closely with the White House, and the Government of Canada, probably, under directions from Washington.
The United States, especially California, needs clean fresh Canadian water a whole lot more than it needs dirty, stinky, Alberta oil.
So, when Nancy Pelosi reashed out to Canada's oppressed and downtrodden natives people to assist to protect the puriuty of Canada's waters it only took about 20 days before the Chief Allan Adams of the Chippewan tribe on the Athabaska River responded by calling on Hollywood film producer James Camerons then "co-indieentally" visiting the Alberta Tar Sands to help their cause and James Cameron being a Californian but with Canadian birth credentials, immediately announced he was on the side of the Indians. Hollywood always did westerrns best, and Cameron is sure to do a blockbuster which may lead to the break up of Canada as we know it.
In British Columbia, Premier Gordon Campbell continued to move stealthfully on the implementation of Phase One of the NAWAPA which includes the construction of the Site C Dam on the Peace River a project that had been delayed for 25 years due to high level political corruption in Ottawa and Victoria, the capital city of British Columbia.
