Richard Meyer - Civil Servant - Alleged Crook - Lawyer
Richard Meyer was called to the bar in British Columbia on July 12, 1983. He worked as a barrister at the Ministry of the Attorney General for British Columbia.
In 1999, Richard Meyer was part of the legal team assigned to make application to dismiss the lawsuit filed by Sun Belt Water Inc. in the British Columbia court system.
We will assume Richard Meyer was a competent lawyer and that he read the file. If he had read the file, Richard Meyer would have known the his colleagues, William Pearce, Timothy Leadem, Ann Wilson, and Lisa Shendroff had artfully concocted a fraud on the court by withholding critical evidence and by the fabrication of false evidence.
Notwithstanding this knowledge, Richard Meyer proceeded to ask the presiding judge to dismiss the Sun Belt Water Inc. lawsuit when he knew that the underlying Court Order was based in a fraud and when he knew the application was res judicata because it had already been denied by another judge.
We think this makes Richard Meyer a crook but you can be the judge and decide for yourselves.
But there is more.
In 2008, when the Governments of Canada and British Columbia launched a malicious prosecution of Mr. Carten, Richard Meyer took time from his supposedly busy professional career in the civil litigation section of the Ministry of the Attorney General and stopped by the courthouse in Victoria to watch the trial and to, apparently, give instructions to the government prosecutor, Tim Stokes. This attendance by Richard Meyer at the court when he had no personal interest in the case suggests he was part of the group that attempted to railroad Mr. Carten.
Because of Richard Meyer's lying, cheating and fraudulent conduct, Mr. Carten and Ms. Gibbs and their families and friends were harmed but then they turned the tables and a whole lot of criminal friends and colleagues of Richard Meyer started dying and leaving their jobs in disgrace and Richard Meyer, left his job in disgrace, and now he is hiding out, somewhere, like a rat in his hole.
