The Law Society of Alberta and the WaterWarCrimes
This story is under construction but here are some bullets:
1. There were were a couple of lawyers in Alberta who had insider knowledge of the intended secret agreement between W.C.W. Western Canada Water Enterprises Ltd. and the Government of British Columbia. They arranged a private investment of about $1 million in WCW immediately after the British Columbia cabinet approved the agreement in principle but well before the agreement was finally signed. The stock was trading around $1 when the clients invested and went up to about $4. We suspect Jack Ebbels or Bill Vander Zalm was the source of the insider knowledge.
- Jack Ebbels because he was in charge of the file at the BC Attorney General's office and like a lot of other people, Jack Ebbels he jumped from Government to Paul Fraser's law firm in Vancouver when the heat was turned up. In addition, in a bar in Vancouver the following conversation took place a few years ago: "Jack Ebbels is in charge of oil and gas now for the BC government and all those Calgary guys are paying him bribes to get their deals with the province done" "How do you know that he is taking bribes?" "Because the Calgary guys told me."
- Bill Vander Zalm because one of the clients who was in the private investment was a dutch speaking immigrant to Canada.
2. The former President of the Law Society of Alberta, Barbara Romaine, was made a Justice of the Court of Queens Bench by Jean Chretien and Anne McLellan and, immediately, sat on a case involving Ms. Karen Gibbs and rendered a perverse decision that cheated Ms. Gibbs out of several thousand dollars.
3. Ms. Gibbs complained to the Law Society of Alberta about her lawyer in Alberta who went sideways and contrary to her instructions and, instead of investigating the lawyer, the Law Society of Alberta investigator paid an unsolicited visit to Ms. Gibbs residence in Calgary in an attempt to get inside her home and spy on her.
4. The Law Society of Alberta acted as agent from the Law Society of British Columbia contacted to Mr. Carten, when he was living in political asylum in Alberta, and threatened him if he attempted to practice law in Alberta - something he had not done.
5. There are too many co-incidence involving the Calgary law firm of Bennett Jones, including the bizarre public position of its most illustrious lawyer, Peter Lougheed. Click here to read about the linkages between Bennett Jones and the WaterWarCrimes.
6. When Sun Belt Water Inc. was selected by the Goleta Water District to be the supplier of fresh water, a group of Calgary businessmen invited Sun Belt President, Jack Lindsey, to Calgary to talk about a joint venture with Sun Belt.

Howard Kushner -
Deputy Executive Director of the Law Society of Alberta
In January 2010, Mr. Kushner quietly moved from his position as Chief Legal Officer for the Law Society of British Columbia to the Law Society of Alberta where has become the Deputy Executive Director - Regulations.
Howard Kushner is the consummate bureaucrat. He left the University of Toronto Law School back in 1970's and, after a brief stint at the Fabian Socialist organization in London, England, known as the London School of Economics, Mr. Kushner worked for either the Government of British Columbia, its state controlled Law Society, the Government of the Yukon or the Government of Alberta. According to various biography's published online, Mr. Kushner has never worked in a private law practice yet held himself out as capable of guiding an organization that supposedly represented approximately 8,000 lawyers in private practice.
As Chief Legal Officer to the Law Society of British Columbia, Howard Kushner must be presumed to have guided the Law Society to continue its strategy of character assassination by psychiatry against the lawyer who was blowing the whistle on the corruption inside the Ministry of the Attorney General for British Columbia that related to the WaterWarCrimes. This was some of the dumbest legal advice a lawyer ever provided to his client because it provoked a legal war that has seen nine judges, (See the Graveyard of the Wicked), one former civil servant (See Jack Ebbels page) and one BC cabinet Minister (Stan Hagen) drop dead. It also caused a whole lot of damage to some very innocent people for which Mr. Kushner has earned some very bad karma.
