NAWAPA North American Power and Water Alliance is a proposed continental water management scheme conceived in the 1950's by the US Army Corps of Engineers
The planners envisioned diverting water from some rivers in Alaska south through Canada via the Rocky Mountain Trench and other routes to the US and Mexico will involve over 300 separate construction projects.
The massive water project is being quietly and skillfully guided into creation by the governments of Canada, the United States and Mexico and serious negotiations began in 2007 when Canadian Prime Minister Harper invited California Governor Schwarzeneger to Ottawa for private talks.
